Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh casts his vote at 8:39am at the polling station of Dr Maleka College in Dhanmondi, Dhaka.
He said: “I have cast my vote for the Boat Symbol.”

Taposh also urged the country's people to vote for the Boat symbol.
Taposh’s wife, Afrin Taposh, and younger son, Sheikh Fazle Nashwan, expressed their hope for the Awami League to win the election.
