The Election Commission has ordered the arrest of Industries Minister and Awami League candidate from Narsingdi-4 Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun's son over allegations of irregularities.
Hasiba Khan, assisting returning officer and UNO of Monohardi Sid Manzurul Majid Mahmud Sadi’s arrest order came after allegations of ballot stuffing.
Humayun is seeking re-election from Narsingdi-4 with Boat symbol.

Saiful Islam Khan Biru, an independent candidate and member of the Narsingdi district Awami League advisory committee, is his main opponent for the seat.
Voting at Ibrahimpur Government Primary School in Sallabad Union of Belabo upazila was cancelled at 8:40am, shortly after voting began today, said District Returning Officer Dr Badiul Alam.
