Mustafa Al Mahmud, the Jaitya Party candidate for the Jamalpur-2 Islampur constituency, alleged that agents representing JaPa's Plough symbol were forcibly removed from centres to ensure ballot papers were cast in favour of the Boat symbol.

He made the allegations during a press conference at the Jatiya Party's upazila office on Sunday afternoon.

Mahmud claimed that, out of the 92 polling stations in the upazila, agents from 30 polling stations were forced out to facilitate votes for the Boat symbol. Despite verbally reporting the matter to the administration, no action had been taken.

Responding to these allegations, Assistant Returning Officer of Jamalpur-2 (Islampur) Constituency Md Sirajul Islam said: "I have just received a written complaint. The presiding officer of the mentioned centres is being contacted, and the police force will be sent to the spot immediately."
