Nasrin Siddique, wife of Krishak Sramik Janata League (KSJL) President Bangabir Abdul Kader Siddique, passed away on Saturday night. She was 70.
On Sunday afternoon, following the second namaz-e-janaza at Chhatihati village in Kalihati upazila of Tangail, she was buried at the family graveyard.
Before the janaza, Bangabir Abdul Kader Siddique sought prayers from everyone for his late wife, creating a deeply emotional atmosphere.
People from all walks of life attended the funeral in large numbers.
Earlier, the first namaz-e-janaza was held around 2pm on Sunday at the PTI ground in Tangail town.
In the morning before the janaza, the ambulance carrying Nasrin Siddique's body was brought to the front of their residence in Tangail.
There, her political colleagues, supporters, followers and family members gathered for a final glimpse.
Nasrin Siddique passed away late Saturday night while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the capital.
She had been admitted due to a brain hemorrhage.
Nasrin Siddique was a member of the central committee of the Krishak Sramik Janata League.
She is survived by one son and one daughter.
