A case has been filed with Paltan Model police station over the death of police constable Aminul Parvez in a clash over Saturday's BNP rally in Dhaka’s Naya Paltan.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Paltan Model police station Salauddin Mia said the police filed the case on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Aminul Parvez, a constable, who was working with the DMP's Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC).
On Saturday, BNP leaders and activists clashed with the police in Naya Paltan.
Dhaka city experienced about five hours of clashes primarily revolving around the Awami League and BNP rallies.
Over 100 people, including journalists, and police officers were injured.
