Fires are a regular occurrence at the Korail slum in Dhaka, and many of the slum's residents are no strangers to losing and rebuilding their homes.
On Sunday afternoon, nine units of firefighters managed to put out another incident of blaze. Nearly 200 families lost their prized possessions in Sunday's fire.
Local Awami League leader Babul said a total of 150 shacks and 17 houses were turned to ashes. However, there were no reports of casualties or injuries.
