A massive fire that broke out at a slum in the capital's Tejgaon area on Monday night gutted at least 100 shanties.
The fire broke out at 7:50pm.
A total of 11 firefighting units rushed to the spot after receiving information and doused the fire at 10:10pm after over two hours’ frantic efforts.
The origin of the fire could not be known immediately.
No casualties were reported.
