The Marma community of Bandarban is enjoying Sangrai, their New Year celebration, with great zest and vibrant rituals. The area was crowded with visitors from other cities who came to Bandarban to enjoy the festivities.

The new year is welcomed by the Marma community with joy and the Sangrai festival.

Although the festival ended on Saturday midnight in the district town of Bandarban, the festival will continue for another two days in the upazilas of the district.
