The ruling Awami League earned Tk4.84 crore last year and spent Tk3.2 crore, leaving it with a surplus of Tk1.82 crore, according to the party's annual financial report.
Currently, the party has Tk2,55,811,441 in its fund.
A three-member Awami League delegation, led by Presidium Member Abdur Razzak, submitted the financial report to the chief election commissioner on Monday.
Sale of nomination papers, donations from party members and leaders, fees from members, and bank interests have been shown as the party's income source.
Salaries of employees, entertaining guests, rallies, electoral office, relief work, publication of journals, among others, have accounted for spending.
“We keep a large part of our fund as fixed deposit in banks and keep the rest for routine expenses,” Razzak told reporters. “This year, we earned Tk12,464,796 as interest.”
