Mujibul Haque Chunnu, secretary general of the Jatiya Party, has expressed concerns over what he says is a depoliticization process currently unfolding in the country, suggesting that certain groups are manipulating students to destabilize the nation.
Chunnu said was speaking at a meeting with additional secretaries general at the Jatiya Party's chairman's office in Banani on Sunday. The comments were later shared in a press release.
He said that the previous "Minus Two" formula proved ineffective, and he believes the ongoing depoliticization process will also fail.
The JaPa leader highlighted that rising prices of essential goods have placed a significant burden on ordinary citizens, while the worsening law and order situation has made daily life increasingly difficult.
Chunnu urged the government to take decisive action to address these issues.
Additionally, he condemned recent violent incidents, including an attack, arson, and looting at the Jatiya Party's central office on Friday, followed by another attack and arson at the Khulna office on Saturday.
Chunnu called for those responsible for these acts of violence to be brought to justice under the law.
