Dhaka Metropolitan South unit of Awami League has organized a discussion program to commemorate the party's 75th anniversary.
The discussion program began at 3:15pm on Saturday in front of the central office of Awami League on Bangabandhu Avenue.
From noon, various ward and thana units of Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League arrived in groups at the meeting.
They were seen chanting slogans such as "Joy Bangla, Joy Bangabandhu," and "Sheikh Hasinar Sorkar, bar bar dorkar (Sheikh Hasina's government, needed again and again)".
Leaders and activists of the Awami League came to the discussion program in groups from various wards and thanas.
Central leaders of Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League are delivering speeches at the discussion meeting.
The chief guest of the meeting is Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader.
The meeting is being presided over by Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League President Abu Ahmed Mannafi.
