The Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) authorities are gearing up for a surge of patients admitted to the hospital with coronavirus symptoms.

On average, the hospital is seeing 15 to 16 patients with Covid-like symptoms admitted each day from all over the country, said authorities.

“Many of these patients have been fully vaccinated against the virus but continue to get infected due to not taking adequate precautions and not following the hygiene practices,” DMCH Director Brig Gen Md Nazmul Haque told Dhaka Tribune.
