Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has said party chief Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will announce its election manifesto on December 27.
Quader, also road transport and bridges minister, at a press conference at the Awami League president's political office in Dhanmondi on Monday urged the party’s candidates to follow the electoral code of conduct and maintain a peaceful environment in the run-up to the 12th national election scheduled for January 7.
He said the Awami League will hold its first rally as part of its election campaign in Sylhet on December 20.
Talking about a statement by 40 eminent personalities, the Awami League leader called them agents of the BNP.
