A Dhaka Court on Wednesday granted bail to real estate businessman Nasir U Mahmood in a narcotics case filed with Airport police station - against Nasir and Omi - over the recovery of liquor and yaba pills during their arrest.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Muhammad Jasim passed the order after Nasir’s counsel Zulfiqur Ali Haider filed a petition before the court seeking bail.
The court, however, rejected Tuhin Siddique Omi’s bail petition in the same case.
Nasir’s counsel said the court granted his bail for Tk5,000 bond in the case.

On Tuesday, the duo secured bail in the case filed by movie star Pori Moni on charges of attempted rape and murder.

Police on June 15 pressed drug possession charges against Nasir, Omi and three others, a day after they were arrested in the case filed by Pori Moni.
The three others are Nazma Amin Brishti, 24, Lipi Akter, 18, and Sumi Akter, 19.
The FIR was filed against the five under the Narcotics Control Act with Airport police station in the early hours of June 15.
Drug-related charges were brought against them as some 1,000 yaba pills, foreign liquor and beer were seized from them at the time of their arrest.
