A Dhaka court has taken into cognizance the charge sheet filed against expelled Jubo League South unit President Ismail Chowdhury Samrat and Enamul Haque Arman in a narcotics case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Masud Ur Rahman took the charge sheet into cognizance on Sunday.
For further hearing, the magistrate transferred the case to Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court, reports BSS.
Earlier on December 9, Investigation Officer (IO) and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) 1 Sub-Inspector Abdul Halim filed the charge sheet in the case.
On October 7, the law enforcement agency filed two cases against Samrat with Ramna Police Station while making Arman co-accused in the narcotics case.
RAB officials arrested Samrat and his accomplice Arman from Comilla’s Chauddagram upazila on October 6.
