Women footballer Masura Parvin's father's rickshaw van has been stolen from their Binerpota house in Satkhira.
The incident took place on Friday night, Masura's father Rajab Ali told Dhaka Tribune.
His daughter, a member of South Asian Football Federation (Saaf) Women's Championship winning team, bought the van a month ago for him.
Rajab Ali told Dhaka Tribune that he used to sell vegetables on his van in the locality and earn a living. But after the van got stolen, he has not been earning which has put the family in dire straits.
Fakhrul Alam Khan, the officer-in-charge (OC) of Sadar police station, said that they were trying to locate the stolen van.
