The Cyber Crime Monitoring Cell of Rangamati district police has recovered 274 stolen and lost mobile phones worth Tk55 lakh.
Additional Superintendent of Police Maruf Ahmed handed over the phones to the owners at the office of the Rangamati Superintendent of Police on Monday.
Cybercrime Monitoring Cell in-charge SI Masood Rana, along with other members of the unit, were present.
The phones were recovered under the direction of SP Mir Abu Tauhid and the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police (DSB) Shahnewaz Raju.
Of the phones, 32 lost phones were recovered following general diaries filed by the owners and using information technology.
During the handover ceremony, the victims expressed satisfaction with getting back their lost phones.
