The World Health Organization (WHO) has assured Bangladesh of providing technical support for the establishment of a vaccine plant and adequate booster doses of vaccines.
WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus gave the assurance to Bangladesh Health Minister Zahid Maleque in a meeting at the WHO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, on Thursday.
They stressed the importance of ensuring a good environment for health workers for good healthcare.
The WHO chief and the Bangladeshi minister also discussed ensuring adequate training for health workers as well as their job security, allowances and other benefits.
Maleque requested Ghebreyesus to visit Bangladesh, to which the latter agreed.
