Bangladesh Railway is set to start selling advance train tickets for the Eid-ul-Azha holidays from July 1.
Advance tickets of July 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 will be available on July 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 respectively, several media outlets reported on Monday citing railway ministry officials.
Besides, the sale of return tickets will begin from July 7.
Advance tickets for intercity trains traveling on July 11, 12 and 13 will be available on July 7, 8 and 9 while the advance tickets of July 14 and 15 will be available on July 11.
According to the ministry officials, Railway Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujan will disclose details regarding the selling of advance train tickets on June 22.
Eid-ul-Azha, the 2nd largest religious festival for Muslims, is set to be celebrated on July 10, subject to the appearance of the moon.
