Advance train ticket sales for the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Azha began on Wednesday.

Bangladesh Railway has started selling tickets in advance, considering the festival, which is expected to fall on May 28.

Tickets for May 23—the first day of Eid travel—went on sale on Wednesday.

To ensure convenience, 100% of seats are being sold online.

Similarly, tickets for May 24, 25, 26, and 27 will be sold on May 14, 15, 16, and 17 respectively.

After Eid, return journey ticket sales will begin on May 21, when tickets for May 31 will be released. Tickets for June 1, 2, 3, and 4 will be available on May 22, 23, 24, and 25, respectively.

According to the guidelines, each passenger can purchase a maximum of four tickets per day for both advance and return journeys, and tickets are non-refundable. For passenger convenience, 25% of seats will be sold as standing tickets on travel days, though these cannot be used in higher-class coaches.

Railway authorities have also warned passengers not to make any financial transactions outside the designated website and app, as doing so may expose them to fraud.
