Bangladesh Railway has begun selling advance train tickets for Eid-ul-Azha travel.
Advance tickets for journeys on May 26 will be available on Saturday. As in previous years, all tickets are being sold online to reduce passenger suffering.
Tickets for May 27 journeys will go on sale on Sunday.
Meanwhile, advance return tickets after Eid will begin selling on May 21, when tickets for May 31 journeys will be released.
Tickets for June 1 and June 2 journeys will be available on May 22, while tickets for June 3 and June 4 journeys will be released on May 23 and May 24, respectively.
According to Bangladesh Railway guidelines, a passenger can purchase a maximum of four tickets per day for both advance and return journeys during Eid.
The tickets are non-refundable.
For passenger convenience, 25% of the total seats on trains will be sold as standing tickets on the day of departure. However, these tickets will not be valid for travel in higher-class coaches.
Railway authorities have urged passengers not to make financial transactions outside designated websites and apps, warning that attempts to purchase tickets through unauthorized channels may lead to fraud.
