Bangladesh Ansar, Bangladesh Police, Dhaka and Rajshahi qualified for the semi-finals of the 2nd Walton National Women’s Baseball Competition Friday on the opening day of the tournament at Dhanmondi Sultana Kamal Women’s Sports Complex in Dhaka. The tournament has been organised by Bangladesh Baseball-Softball Association.
In the group stage matches, reigning champion Ansar thumped Khulna 16-0, Police blanked Mymensingh 23-0, Dhaka edged Rangpur 7-6 while Rajshahi beat Chittagong 13-3.

The semi-finals will be held Saturday morning at 8am at the same venue. In the first semi-final, Ansar will face Rajshahi while Police, runners up in the last edition, and Dhaka will lock horns with each other in the second last-four clash.
The final will be held Sunday at 1pm. ATN Bangla will telecast the game live.
