2021 saw the release of Bengali web series “Mahanagar” on Indian Over-the-Top (OTT) platform Hoichoi. Bangladeshi Actor Mosharraf Karim was lauded for his portrayal as OC Harun in the thriller drama genre web series directed by Ashfaq Nipun.

The eager wait from audiences of both Bengals for the second instalment of the web series finally ended with “Mahanagar 2” finally being released on April 20, Thursday.

Mosharraf Karim's OC Harun continues to be a fan favourite. There had originally been a lot of prevailing opinions about the absence of many characters from the first season in “Mahanagar 2”, but after the release of the series, it died down.

Above all, popular Indian actor Anirban Bhattacharya's appearance at the end of “Mahanagar 2” as "Rajab Ali" has created the most excitement. The actor's cameo in the final scene of the second instalment of the thriller confirmed his presence in “Mahanagar 3”.

On Sunday, April 23, Anirban Bhattacharya posted a photo on Instagram dressed as Rajab Ali with director Ashfaq Nipun captioned,“The story doesn't end here! See you soon!”

However, OC Harun's role in “Mahanagar” has become a topic of speculation after the character was shot at the end of “Mahanagar 2”. This has raised the question in many minds, whether Anirban Bhattacharya's entry led to the departure of Mosharraf Karim.

Nevertheless, “Mahanagar” fans hope that the third segment of the series will bring an epic on-screen duel between these two talented actors.
