Update : 10 Mar 2026, 08:24 PM

The trailer of “Ekshathe Alada,” directed by Rezaur Rahman, was released on Sunday (March 8) across Hoichoi’s social media platforms, ahead of its premiere on the streaming service on March 19 during Eid-ul-Fitr.

The one-hour romantic comedy follows Farhan and Amira, a couple trapped in a lifeless relationship as they navigate emotional conflict, societal expectations and personal independence. The film questions whether love alone is enough to sustain a marriage.

Yash Rohan and Parsa Evana play the lead roles, marking their first on-screen appearance together on Hoichoi. The cast also includes Tariq Anam Khan, Tushar Khan, Rosey Siddiqui and Deepa Khondkar in key roles.

The story and screenplay are written by Rezaur Rahman and Karina Kaiser. The project is produced by Syed Ahmed Shawki, with Shahriar Islam as executive producer. Cinematography is by Ishtiaq Hossain, editing by Mahfuzul Haque Ashik, music by Khaiyam Sanu Sandhi, sound design by Ripon Nath, makeup by Kazi Asmita Pranjoli and Sujon Bepari, costume design by Swapna Rani Bain, and art direction by Md Rinku.

Director Rezaur Rahman said: “This story revolves around modern-day relationships. Love exists, but so do personal independence and the pressures of work, which often reshape the dynamics of a relationship. Through the trailer, we wanted to offer a glimpse of that reality. Yash and Parsa have both delivered wonderful performances. I hope the audience will find the one-hour film to be an enjoyable experience.”

Yash Rohan said, “When I first read the script, it felt like a very familiar story--something that happens around us all the time. That’s what drew me to the project. Working with Rezaur is always a great experience. Now that the trailer is out, I hope viewers will discover something even more engaging when the film is released.”

Parsa Evana added, “This character was quite different and challenging for me. Although it is a romantic comedy, there are many subtle emotional layers within the story. The trailer offers a glimpse of that tone. I also really enjoyed working with Yash, and we both tried our best to portray the emotions of the story authentically.”

“Ekshathe Alada” will premiere on Hoichoi on March 19.
