Coronavirus Delays ‘Neel Mukut’

"If the situation improves, then Neel Mukut may get released on April 3"

Update : 12 Mar 2020, 07:14 PM

Film-maker Kamar Ahmad Simon’s  Neel Mukut was set to be released on March 27. However, he has decided to delay the release amidst the coronavirus scare.

“Everyone says Corona, Corona… Okay, ‘Korbona’ (We won’t)... We won’t release Neel Mukut now,” he said after postponing the release date.

Earlier, Neel Mukut received an uncut censorship as well as approval from the Producers-Distributors Association for the release.

Producer Sara Afreen said: “We planned to release the teaser on March 12, just 15 days before the release of the film on March 27. Since, the entire situation is uncertain, we have decided to observe the situation for a week before taking a call."

"If the situation improves, then Neel Mukut may release on April 3. But, all of these are just assumptions.”

Earlier, the poster of the film was highly appreciated after its release on social media. Film-maker Kamar, the official invitee at Cannes-Berlin-Locarno, has already surprised everyone by declaring the release of Neel Mukut locally before any festival.

Quite on Set Production is the distribution partner of the film.

Recently, some Bollywood and Hollywood films have also postponed their release due to the coronavirus outbreak.
