Director Adnan Al Rajeev has cast actors Afran Nisho and Mehazabien Chowdhury in his first full-length feature film, “Opolok”.
The filmmaker announced the casting in a social media post on Wednesday, welcoming the two actors to the project and sharing his vision for the film.
Describing “Opolok” as a project built on the dreams and affection of its team, Adnan said he hoped to create an honest and emotionally engaging romantic film with the two actors.
“We want to make an honest, simple and heart-touching romantic film, where audiences will find themselves alongside the story of love,” he wrote.
He also expressed hope that the emotions and sincerity behind the project would connect with audiences.
Adnan had previously announced “Opolok” as his feature film debut, marking a new phase in a career primarily known for acclaimed television commercials and storytelling.
The director has long expressed an interest in making a romantic feature film. His experience working on the romantic advertising series “Kache Ashar Golpo” also contributed to developing that ambition.
The casting announcement has drawn attention, as Nisho and Mehazabien are among the familiar on-screen pairs in Bangladeshi entertainment, having built substantial followings through their television and film performances.
Further details about the film's storyline, production schedule and release date have yet to be announced.
