Filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki has dismissed reports of a possible separation from actress Nusrat Imrose Tisha, describing the claims about their marriage as false.
Speculation about the couple’s relationship intensified after several media outlets reported that they were allegedly living separately. Farooki said neither he nor Tisha would comment on the reports, arguing that doing so would give further attention to the claims.
He said he was focusing on upcoming projects instead of responding to what he described as personal attacks and misinformation.
Farooki also shared updates on his recent work, saying he travelled to South Korea on October 10 at the invitation of the Busan International Film Festival, where he delivered a speech on film.
Before leaving for Busan, he completed work on an advertisement. After returning to Bangladesh on October 17, he began working on another commercial project.
The filmmaker said he had completed the story for one film and started developing another. He is also working on three advertisements, including one for a healthcare company and two for building materials.
According to Farooki, one of the advertisements has already been filmed in Dhaka, Mymensingh and South Korea.
Meanwhile, Tisha has continued her professional activities amid the speculation. She recently launched her production company, Fullscreen, which released a drama starring Arsh Khan and Priyanti Urbi on its YouTube channel on September 28.
Farooki also said Tisha was in discussions to act in a new international film but declined to share further details, adding that an announcement would be made once arrangements were finalised.
Farooki and Tisha married on July 16, 2010, after a five-year relationship that began when they met through their work in the entertainment industry. Their daughter, Ilham Nusrat Farooki, was born in 2022.
