The government has decided to keep the prices of diesel, octane, petrol and kerosene unchanged in November, maintaining the rates set on September 20.
The Energy and Mineral Resources Division under the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources issued a memorandum on Thursday confirming the decision.
Under the existing rates, diesel will sell for Tk135 per litre, octane for Tk165, petrol for Tk160 and kerosene for Tk155.
The decision follows a letter sent by the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) on Monday. The memorandum was signed by Senior Assistant Secretary Md Enamul Haque of the division’s Operations-1 branch.
Fuel prices also remained unchanged in October after the government raised the prices of all four fuels by Tk20 per litre on September 20. The revised rates took effect on October 1.
