A total of 114 apparel workers died and countless others were injured in a massive fire that raged through Tazreen Fashions factory in Ashulia on the outskirts of the capital on November 24, 2012. Many of whom survived now live in horrid conditions at Nishchintpur in Ashulia. The survivors and their family members demonstrated in front of National Press Club in the capital, demanding due compensation, rehabilitation and full treatment, which elude them eight years on.
