Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam on Monday confirmed that discussions regarding state reform will continue with political parties.
This development follows the endorsement of state repair initiatives by world leaders and the establishment of six commissions tasked with addressing various reform aspects.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday evening at the Foreign Service Academy, Alam emphasized the importance of collaboration among political stakeholders.
He indicated that the Advisory Council is keen on engaging in further dialogue before implementing any comprehensive reforms.
The six commissions of the interim government, formed to reform the state apparatus, will start their works fully after the advisory council once again holds consultation with political parties.
When asked about the inclusion of the Awami League in these discussions, Alam stated that the Advisory Council will determine the approach.
He also addressed questions regarding the timeline for upcoming elections, clarifying that the Army Chief has provided input, but the public will ultimately decide the timeframe.
Alam noted that world leaders have not requested a specific deadline for reforms, asserting that the election date will be established through consensus based on the commissions' findings and stakeholder discussions.
