Law enforcement agencies will take action according to the law if BNP leaders and activists block any roads to hold its rally in Dhaka on December 10, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan has said.
The minister was speaking to reporters after an event in Dhaka on Wednesday.
The government was not creating any obstacles to holding the rally, but the BNP must do everything following the rules, he said.
The BNP and the government have failed to reach an agreement on the venue for the party's rally on December 10.
The authorities want the party to hold it at Suhrawardy Udyan, and the Dhaka Metropolitan Police on Wednesday urged it to convene in an open space, but the BNP is adamant about doing it at Naya Paltan, where its central office is located.
