Former member of parliament for Manikganj-2 and renowned vocalist Momtaz Begum was again targeted by an agitated crowd who threw eggs at the prison van transporting her.
The incident occurred around 11:30am on Tuesday, as she was being escorted back to the vehicle following her court appearance at the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court in Manikganj.
Earlier in the day, at approximately 8:30am, Momtaz was brought to the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court from the Kashimpur Jail to attend her scheduled hearings in connection with two cases, including a four-murder case filed in Singair.

At 11:30am, she was presented before the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Sadbir Yasir Ahsan Chowdhury. The presiding judge denied her bail petition.
According to Court Inspector Md Abul Khair, Momtaz Begum was presented in court as part of her routine legal proceedings.
Upon conclusion of the hearing, she was scheduled to be taken to Harirampur police station for a two-day remand in connection with a case involving vandalism and assault.
Following the completion of interrogation there, she will be transferred to the Singapore police station to serve a four-day remand in the four-murder case.
