The Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) has logged 379 new coronavirus cases in the 24 hours to Sunday 8am with an infection rate of 62.85%.
During the same period, two people died at the hospital’s Covid-19 unit with symptoms, according to the hospital’s Director Shamim Yazdani. “One of them was a resident of Rajshahi, while the was from Naogaon district.”
A total of 67 patients are now being treated at the Covid unit. Of which, 34 have tested positive, he told the media on Sunday.
“The number of patients at the coronavirus ward is increasing every day,” said the RMCH chief.
Eleven people have been admitted to the hospital in the last 24 hours, and six patients were discharged from the Covid unit after recovering from the virus, he added.
