Four people died while being treated in the Covid-19 unit of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) in the 24 hours to Wednesday morning.
One of them had tested positive for Covid-19 while the rest were showing symptoms consistent with the disease.
Forty-two people are currently undergoing treatment in the Covid-19 unit of the hospital with the admission of seven new patients in the last 24 hours, hospital spokesperson Dr Mohiuddin Khan said.
Mymensingh has so far recorded 22,230 Covid-19 cases – including 14 in the past 24 hours – since the start of the pandemic, according to Civil Surgeon Dr Nazrul Islam.
Of them, 296 died while 21,850 recovered from the disease, he said.
