The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Saturday allegedly gunned down a Bangladeshi national along the Hapania border in Naogaon's Sapahar upazila.
The deceased has been identified as Salauddin, 30, a cattle trader hailing from the upazila’s Goala union, said officials of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).
BGB 16 Battalion’s Hapania Camp Commander Abdul Aziz said a team of BSF Pannapur Camp opened fire at a group of cattle traders, who were crossing the Indian border.
Slauddin sustained bullet wounds and died on the spot. The body was spotted lying in the no man's land along the Indian border.
"A flag meeting request in this regard has been sent to the BSF Pannapur Camp," said the official.
