Fifteen more people have died at the Covid-19 unit of Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital (MMCH) in the 24 hours to Monday morning.
Among them, six tested positive for the virus while the rest had symptoms, said Dr Mohiuddin Khan Moon, a spokesperson of the Covid unit.
Meanwhile, 296 patients are still undergoing treatment in the hospital, of whom 20 are in the intensive care unit, said the officials.
Forty nine were admitted in the last 24 hours and 46 were discharged from the hospital, he added.
As many as 707 samples were screened at the hospital’s PCR lab during the same time, when 210 new cases were identified, said Civil Surgeon Mohammad Nazrul Islam.
