An accused in a murder case has been killed in an alleged gunfight with Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Chittagong.
The incident occurred on Sunday night. The deceased is Khurshid Alam, 45, who was accused in eight cases lodged with different police stations in Chittagong.
RAB claims Khurshid was a top criminal from the Agrabad area of Chittagong.
According to a text message from RAB 7, the gunfight took place under at Agrabad under Double-Mooring unit of Chittagong, around 8:30pm on Sunday.
Later, Khurshid's bullet-ridden body was recovered from the spot, alongside two foreign pistols, and 12 rounds of bullets.
