Police have arrested a man on Sunday from Shahbag, Dhaka, on account of sexually assaulting an eighth grader.
The accused, Mojammel Haque, headmaster of Ishwardi Alhajj Textile High School, was on the run over a case filed under the Woman and Child Repression Act-10.
According to the case statement, the accused Mojammel called the girl alone to school premises, and assaulted her. When her friends came to rescue her, he fled the scene. Later the girl filed a case with Ishwardi police station on May 28.
Ishwardi police station’s OC Bahauddin confirmed the incident.
