Police arrested a man from Tubia of Madaripur sadar upazila after several complaints of cyber harassing women.
The arrested, Foysal Talukdar,29, was detained under the Digital Security Act on Sunday after police conducted a drive.
According to the police, Foysal got mobile numbers of some female college students and harassed them with texts. He also sent inappropriate images on Imo.
Several students filed a complaint against him, giving his number to the police.
Police detained him and confiscated two smart phones and several sim cards.
Madaripur Superintendent of Police, Subrata Kumar Halder, after confirming the incident, said: "Upon interrogation, Foysal has accepted the accusations against him. A case will be filed against him."
