A press release signed by Rakib Hossain Lotus, president of Lakshmipur Chhatra League and Morshed Alom Nishad, general secretary of Lakshmipur Chhatra League confirmed the matter.
Rakib said: “The Lakshmipur Ward-6 BCL unit President Md Badhon and Lakshmipur Commerce College BCL unit General Secretary Redwan Hossain Piyash have been expelled over breach of discipline. Any such step will be taken against anyone if any allegation against them is proven.”
Rakib further added the BCL will not keep anyone in its ranks who tarnish the reputation of the student league.
BCL did not clarify exactly what actions by the two former BCL leaders precipitated their expulsion.
