Bangladesh logged 62 new coronavirus infections till Saturday morning, the lowest in nearly two years.
The last time the daily new cases were this low was on April 11, 2020.
The country recorded zero deaths again in the last 24 hours till 8am on Saturday after reporting two deaths on Friday.

On Tuesday, the country logged zero deaths from coronavirus after more than three months.
With the latest numbers country’s total fatalities remained unchanged at 29,114.
The daily positivity rate declined to 0.83% from Friday’s 1.16% after testing 7,451 samples during the period, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Meanwhile, the caseload mounted to 1,950,527.
The recovery rate rose to 95.85% with the recovery of 1,014 more patients during the 24-hour period.
Of the new cases, 38 were reported in Dhaka, 12 in Chittagong, seven in Sylhet, two in Khulna and one each in Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions.
On March 15, Bangladesh logged zero Covid-related deaths after more than three months amid signs that the pandemic is easing with a declining positivity rate.
However, on January 28, Bangladesh logged its earlier highest daily positivity rate at 33.37% reporting 15,440 cases and 20 deaths.
Besides, the country registered the highest daily caseload of 16,230 on July 28 last year, while the highest number of daily fatalities was 264 on August 10 last year.
