Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh has tested positive for Covid-19.
Md Abu Naser, public relation officer of the DSCC, confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the country logged 3,359 fresh infections with a positivity rate of 12.03% in the 24 hours till 8am on Thursday. The health authorities reported another 12 deaths from across the country.
The fresh numbers took the country’s death toll to 28,123 and the total caseload to 1,604,664.
