Health authorities in Bangladesh recorded 102 Covid-19 cases in the 24 hours till 8am on Friday.
At the same time, the country recorded zero deaths from the disease for the second day in a row, according to a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) bulletin.
As many as 9,932 samples were tested in the 24-hour period yielding a daily positivity rate of 1.03%.
A total of 1,268 people recovered during the same period, taking the total recoveries to 1,876,148.
The total caseload stands at 1,951,174 while the total fatalities stand at 29,118. The mortality rate stands at 1.49%.
Globally, over 475.48 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus and 6.2 million have died, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.
Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.
