The First Assistant Vice-President (FAVP) of privately run commercial bank Prime Bank has succumbed to Covid-19.
Md Jasim Uddin, 51, who was stationed at the Progoti Sharani branch, passed away on Monday morning at the Impulse Hospital in Dhaka.
Confirming the matter, his brother-in-law Syed Zakir Hossain said: “He was kept at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for four days. His condition gradually deteriorated at home since testing positive for Covid-19 eight days prior to that.”
Syed Zakir Hossain, also the Chief Photographer of Dhaka Tribune, said Jasim will be buried in his family graveyard at his village residence in Chauddagram upazila of Comilla.
