Of all Covid-19 samples tested in the 24-hour period till the daily Covid-19 press briefing on Sunday, around 21% turned out to be positive.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), 13,136 samples were tested in the 24-hour time span in different laboratories across the country.
Of them, 2,743 samples tested positive for coronavirus infection, which is 20.88% of all samples tested.
The test positivity rate was 21.10% on Saturday, 20.07% on Friday, and 19.09% on Thursday.
The daily percentage of people testing positive for Covid-19 in the country was on the rise for three consecutive days before it went down ever so slightly on Sunday.
The daily test positivity rate for Covid-19 reached an all-time high on Tuesday, with nearly 23% of all samples testing positive for that day.
Till now, 65,769 people have tested Covid-19 positive, and 888 of them lost their lives.
Currently, the death rate in the country stands at 1.35% of all reported cases thus far.
