A discussion meeting on “Islamic Revolution in Iran and Its New Message” was held at Muzaffar Ahmed Chowdhury Auditorium, Faculty of Social Sciences Building, University of Dhaka on Saturday.
The Cultural Centre of the Embassy of Iran in Dhaka arranged the meeting on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran (National Day).
Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque was present as the chief guest.
Dr Ali Abbasi, chancellor, Al-Mustafa International University, Iran, Mansour Chavoshi, ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Bangladesh and Prof Dr Zia Rahman, dean, the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Dhaka, were present as special guests.
Prof Dr K M Saiful Islam Khan, Department of Persian Language and Literature, University of Dhaka, and Maolana Dr Mohammad Kafiluddin Sarker Salehi, member, the Board of Governors, Bangladesh Islamic Foundation, were present as guests of honour.
Seyed Reza Mirmohammadi, cultural counsellor, Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Bangladesh, presided over the meeting.
