India shifts Chittagong visa center

  • The new center is located at East Nasirabad
  • Indian envoy and Chittagong mayor were present

India has shifted its visa application center of the port city of Chittagong for the comfort of the applicants.

The new center is located at 1872 CDA Avenue, East Nasirabad, City Center (2nd Floor), Ward: 08,  P.S: Khulsi, District: Chittagong. 

Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC) in Bangladesh, managed by State Bank of India, has announced commencement of operations in the new centre from Thursday to provide a state-of-the-art, aesthetic ambience for Bangladeshi Nationals applying for visa from Chittagong.

At the ceremony, Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma inaugurated the IVAC in presence of Chittagong City Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury. 

On this occasion, the high commissioner has expressed hope that this new centre with an improved ambience, will enhance ease and comfort of Indian Visa application process for residents of Chittagong. 

Dr Rajeev Ranjan, assistant high commissioner of Chittagong and Shri Amit Kumar, country head of SBI Bangladesh Operations, were also present during the ceremony.

State Bank of India, a Fortune 500 company and one of the leading Global Banks, is managing IVACs in Bangladesh on behalf of High Commission of India.

IVAC Dhaka, situated at Jamuna Future Park is the world’s largest visa application centre.
