Two workers riding a motorcycle were killed after being hit by a pickup truck in the EPZ area of Chittagong city on Thursday morning.
The deceased were identified as Tamanna and Md Khalil.
Tamanna was originally from Morelganj in Bagerhat and lived in Wasim Chowdhury Para in Kolsir Dighir Par. Khalil was a resident of the Free Port New Mooring area under EPZ police station.
The accident occurred around 9am on EPZ Road No. 5.
The two were critically injured in the collision and were taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH), where doctors declared them dead.
Nurul Alam Asheq, in-charge of the CMCH police outpost, confirmed the incident.
He said the two motorcyclists sustained serious injuries after being hit by a pickup on CEPZ Road No. 5 under EPZ police station and were taken to CMCH in critical condition, where doctors declared them dead.
