After a heated campaign of 18 days, the Narayanganj City Corporation (NNC) went to the polls on Sunday morning, with all focus on who will be the next mayor. Voters started exercising their franchises at 8am to decide whether Selina Hayat Ivy will continue as mayor for a third term or Taimur Alam Khandakar will replace her. With all eyes on the NCC elections, additional forces were deployed to prevent any untoward incidents.
