Despite heavy rain, thousands of people from various parts of the capital gathered at Shaheed Minar to join the rally, protesting the killings during the quota reform protests and demanding the release of all arrested and detained students and individuals.
Every corner of Shaheed Minar was filled to capacity with protesters.
The crowd, undeterred by the adverse weather conditions, continues to swell as more people arrive to express their solidarity and demand justice.
Nahid Islam, a key coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, announced during the rally that the movement's sole demand is now Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her cabinet's resignation.
